Let me start by saying that I am not a runner! What they say is true. When I am training and running the race I ask myself “Why in the world am I doing this?”. But then I finish the race.. somehow (really! I wonder myself) and then get into this “runners high” (that’s about all I share with a true runner!) and sign up for yet another one the following year! And that’s how I’m in this situation starting to train for my 4th (I’d like to say final.. but you never know) half marathon!
I usually try and pick destination half marathons since it’s fun to travel with my family and friends and the whole race is not just a milestone I set to achieve for myself but a wonderful vacation for the whole family! This year we are off to Montreal in late September!
Since I’m a little delayed starting off, I planned a couch to half in 10 weeks. Time to get my butt back on track! Anyone have any tips to increase endurance and make running a hilly half somewhat pleasurable… 🙏🏽please share!
